Reincarnation – Lord is Extremely Hardcore Chapter 1

“Pak!” A slap sounded clearly and the noise echoed over the banquet. Mu Rulan felt her cheek was in so much pain that it started to become numb, the rusty smell of blood filling up her entire mouth.

The onlookers did not show any sympathy for Mu Rulan. Dressed in magnificent dresses, elegant makeup, and holding delicate flutes of red wine champagne, hints of ridicule could be seen on various faces throughout the banquet.

“Say that again!” Mu Zhenyang was trembling with anger, nearly blinded by his wrath. Anyone not in the know must have thought that Mu Rulan was his sworn enemy, rather than his own blood-related daughter.

Mu Rulan was wearing her school uniform, a stain of red wine splattered down the front. She stubbornly tried to keep her back straight, trying to stand tall like a silver birch. Her eyes were shining and bright, her gaze obstinate as she clamped her fists tightly: “I’m not wrong!”

“You…!”

“Father… no, Uncle Mu, it’s my fault! Don’t blame sister, it’s my fault for overestimating myself…” Bai Suqing said weakly, as she shook her head to emphasize a deep handprint on her innocent face. Even her sooty black hair couldn’t hide the mark. Mu Zhenyang noticed the handprint immediately, more anger roaring up in his heart. He didn’t hold back at all as he slapped Mu Rulan’s face with all his strength. The hit was so hard that Mu Rulan fell to the ground.

At such a large, public occasion, he really held nothing back. This was her father, who slapped his own daughter twice because of an outsider.

Mu Rulan sat on the ground and chuckled lowly to herself, but her vision was blurring as her eyes teared up.

She felt wronged. Bai Suqing had only arrived just half a year earlier, but she had stolen her parents, her little brothers, and even her beloved.

She always thought that maybe she really had done something wrong, but that changed when Bai Suqing personally acknowledged that she had planned all these things.

At the time Mu Rulan had stupidly thought that she finally had a little sister to be fond of, to spoil, to dote on… But it seems like her sister had schemed mercilessly to get rid of her instead, watching her get raped by school hooligans, then acting like a kind person trying to comfort her to earn her trust.

However, Bai Suqing had posted the video of the incident on the internet the next day to embarrass her, and even her fiancé’s family professed disgust at Mu Rulan’s filthiness…

She had tried to explain the situation to her friends, parents and younger brothers, but all she’d received in return were their cold stares and their ridicule. They said to her: Mu Rulan, despicable people get their just desserts. Suqing treated you so well, but instead you spread such ruthless rumors about her. No wonder this happened to you, it must be God punishing you! Serves you right!

Yeah, it served her right… Served her right for not being able to see through Bai Suqing earlier. She had been stubborn ever since she was young, and couldn’t accept being betrayed and forsaken by all her friends and family. After her first few desperate attempts to explain, nobody would believe her. She started to become distant and disdained those around her; she had lost it all but would not let Bai Suqing take her pride. She believe in this saying: Those who had you in their heart don’t need your explanations, and those who don’t have you in their heart don’t believe in any explanations.

Since they didn’t believe her, she would just throw them out of her heart. She was still stubborn and prideful. Even if she couldn’t fight against a despicable weasel, she could hide herself from it. Her parents and brothers that could be stolen away, she disdained to retain them. Her beloved boyfriend and her friends that could be taken away, she disdained to keep them. But she had never expected that this black-hearted lotus didn’t want to leave her with her life.

All she came back for were some belongings, but Bai Suqing persistently provoked her, asking her how she had the gall to come back. Mu Rulan had replied that it was natural for her to come back, unlike Bai Suqing who didn’t have parents but still coveted other’s parents – nothing but a pheasant. Even if she entered the Mu Family, it was impossible for her to become a phoenix.

From there the white lotus instigated Mu Rulan’s former best friend to slap her in the face. Then Bai Suqing had started crying, and there were so many white knights that appeared to console her – so many that the number included even Mu Rulan’s parents and her brothers.

Mu Rusen smiled coldly as he thought he must have had eight lives of bad luck to end up with this kind of sister.

Mu Rulin stood indifferently behind the crowd with a cold gaze as though he was watching an unrelated stranger’s drama.

“Are you going to apologize or not?!” Mu Zhenyang had long flown into rage; this daughter of his had thoroughly humiliated him. He only regretted not strangling her at birth, so she would not shame the family on this very day.

“Rulan, hurry and apologize to Qing Qing! No matter what you’re still her sister. How could you say that to your own little sister? Hurry and apologize!” Her mother, Ke Wangqing, hugged Bai Suqing in her arms, trying to comfort her as she stared daggers at Mu Rulan, her sharp eyes holding a threat.

Mu Rulan kept her gaze icy, standing up and walking stiffly out of the house without looking at anyone. She kept her back straight to show nobody could make her bow her head, including her parents. Today, all she had done was state the truth and her parents had humiliated her in public. If she hit Bai Suqing even once, they might even have cut her into a milion pieces.

“If you don’t apologize today, the moment you take a step out of this house you’re not a daughter of the Mu Family anymore!” Mu Zhenyang was so angry that he wanted to swing a rod and beat her. Mu Rulan was trying to challenge his dignity as a father and his position as the head of the household! How dare she refuse to obey him.

Mu Rulan clenched her fist and continued to walk out of the gate without a word. This sort of house… those who find that important would stay. She herself possessed a pair of arms and legs; she would rather become a beggar than take another step into that house ever again!

A few ugly curses sounded from behind her, but she completely ignored it. The bright moonlight beat down on her, making her appear to be thin and lonely.

As she walked to the side of the road, Bai Suqing’s anxious voice suddenly came from behind her: “Sister! Don’t be impulsive; it was my fault. Please don’t leave, I can leave instead! Sister…”

Mu Rulan ignored her as in front of her the headlights of a car suddenly lit up, the bright light blinding her.

“What are you hurrying for?” The originally delicate voice had changed to a shrill tone. Bai Suqing held Mu Rulan back by her hand, the corner of her mouth raised into a sneer: “I’m not done playing yet.”

“What do you still want from me? I don’t have anything left, what else do you want?” Mu Rulan yanked her hand away and gave Bai Suqing a firm look, as though she didn’t care for the things that had been stolen away.

Bai Suqing narrowed her eyes. “I want to see you cry! I want to see you begging me on the floor like a dog, looking filthy and lowly as an ant. Why won’t you cry?” Bai Suqing hated to see Mu Rulan’s innocent, noble look. Even as she was being raped, even though her body had become filthy, she maintained her purity and immaturity like a child. That look of hers made Bai Suqing want to tear off her face!

Mu Rulan twisted her mouth. Icily, with a hint of her stubborn personality, she said: “Then that’s too bad, you’ll never achieve your wish in this life.”

Bang!

Mu Rulan’s last expression was startled out of her, frozen on her face as intense pain spread throughout her entire body. Her bones felt like they were being crushed into powder, the scarlet of her blood haloing around her head. She shifted her neck, her eyes blurring as she tried to see.

She saw Bai Suqing standing tall and proud of herself and snickering insidiously. Then she saw her family running closer to the scene. Then she saw that the one in the car that had hit her was her beloved man who she had cherished.

It was obvious that Bai Suqing had pushed her out onto the road. Anyone with eyes would have been able to see it.

However, they all looked like they were happy to see her dying.

Mu Zhenyang consoled Bai Suqing: “Don’t take it to heart. This wasn’t your fault.”

Ke Wanqing immediately took Bai Suqing into her arms since she looked frightened by the scene, and comforted: “Never you mind. I still have you. You’re much better than my real daughter.”

“Tsk, this kind of woman should have died earlier, her existence was an embarrassment.” Mu Rusen put his both hands into his pockets, chewing gum, his gaze on Mu Rulan’s body laying on the road like he was observing a piece of trash.

“You’re the only one I loved from the start.” Just the second before that man had hit her with his car to her death, and the next second he was confessing his love for Bai Suqing.

Mu Rulan was blurring in and out of focus. The moment before her death, she even felt a little envious and admiring of Bai Suqing while resenting her all the same. That was the mark of success, being comforted even after murdering someone in public…
