Mu Rulan walked to Lan Yiyang’s room and knocked on the door. A heavy nasal voice sounded from the room, raging, “Get motherf*cking lost!”
It turned out that Mu Rusen and Mu Rulin had fractured Lan Yiyang’s nose bridge.
She was shocked, pausing in her actions for a while, but still powered through and pushed open the door to enter the room as she balanced the porridge in her other arm. He was staying in a VIP room and so he was alone. The room was spacious and bright.
He was laying on the bed, his head and nose wrapped in gauze. His left leg was suspended in the air, encased in a thick plaster cast. Even his right arm was attached to a splint of plywood. He looked like he would turn into a mummy at any moment.
However, the “mummy” didn’t realize there was someone still standing at the door, all his attention on his wounded left hand that was trying to reach the apple on the bedside table to his right. Which bastard had ignored the fact that his right arm was seriously injured and put the apple there. Mmgh… Just a little more, just a tiny bit more, apple, his red apple…
He was so focused on that red apple, like he wanted it very badly. That outstretched hand was unexpectedly beautiful, trying and failing to reach that apple. It was so frustrating! His cheeks turned red with effort. All he wanted was that apple!
A snowy white hand appeared before him out of nowhere and took the red apple he had his eye on.
He was dumbfounded when he raised his head to see Mu Rulan giving him a warm smile. He was surprised before immediately frowning, his gaze filming over. Of course he knew who she was. It was the older sister of those two little bastards, and she pampered them a lot!
“Are you okay?” she asked, still holding the apple. She placed the porridge on the table. The dishes were sealed tightly so without opening it up, the smell didn’t leak at all. Lan Yiyang didn’t even notice her actions.
He gaped a little like a fish, lips moving soundlessly, before the gaze directed at Mu Rulan drained of all mercy: “Okay? Do you think I’m fine while I look like this?”
She hadn’t said even a single word in response before he continued, acidly, “I’m telling you I won’t let this matter go easily. One thing you don’t have to worry about is that I don’t have the habit of running my mouth to my parents about every little thing. But today, those two bastards injured me like this. My leg was hurt, so if one day I catch them I’ll definitely chop of both their legs and poke out both their eyeballs in return for my nose!”
Lan Yiyang himself was no white sheep, but he was a genius. He could wallow every day but when push came to shove, all he needed to do was push himself a little to piss off all the people who worked harder than him day after day. And the reason this genius had been getting worse and more willful was because he had grown up in Australia with his grandfather, but had been tossed back into the country for his parents to discipline after his grandfather became unable to control him.
However, they definitely didn’t expect this foolish brat to have already caused trouble within a week of returning. And even further, the people he tangled with were the twin brothers of the Mu Family of K City!
Mu Rulan stared quietly at him, smile shallow yet gentle as usual. When he finished speaking, she finally took the fruit knife to peel the apple for him.
He was all fired up from his rant, feeling like he’d successfully chopped Mu Rulin and Mu Rusen to pieces already. When he turned his eyes to Mu Rulan calmly peeling the apple for him, he stopped her. “I want to eat the skin, too!”
Mu Rulan paused, looking back at him and noticing the hint of awkwardness on his face. So she curled her lips to make her smile even gentler. “Alright.”
Lan Yiyang watched her go to the bathroom to wash the apple and take the small apple peel from just then to put next to his glass of water on the table to the left of him. She walked back to his right side, thinking of helping him sit straight. He turned his body around in alarm, squinting at her, “What are you planning to do?”
“How are you supposed to eat like that?” Mu Rulan pointed at the plastic bag she had brought on the table.
Lan Yiyang disdained, “Do you think I’m going to let it go just because you’re doing this? I’m telling you, it’s no use even if your mom strips and begs me on the bed!” Who gave a shit about a bowl of porridge? Lan Yiyang had never been injured on the face because no one dared to, but those two bastards really went for it and broke his nose! According to his personality, he would never forget this until he repaid it ten times over!
She was stunned, slowly straightening and the perpetual smile fading from her face. Instead, her pure eyes stared at him coldly, a hint of blame in her gaze. It was an enormous contrast to her usual image, which made him uncomfortable.
Still, Lan Yiyang persisted in glaring at her.
“I think you’re misunderstanding something. The reason I’m here today is not to beg for forgiveness for my younger brothers, but because they have done something wrong. People say that sisters are like mothers. Since I didn’t teach them properly and you were hurt because of this, it’s my fault. I came here to fulfill my responsibilities. I will compensate your admission fees and apologize to you, and at the same time I hope you don’t forget why you were beaten today. Would you not feel angry if you heard someone shouting on the street, saying he wants to fuck you?” she explained.
Lan Yiyang goggled at her with surprise. His mouth was gaping open but he couldn’t say a word in response. He had never expected this phony woman who always appeared gentle and warm in front of others to spit out these kinds of words. Surprisingly, she didn’t look like she was putting on an act as she spoke…
“In the future I hope you can reflect on yourself after I apologize for my little brothers. As for what you threatened earlier, if you really plan on doing so I will use my authority at the student council to write a report to the directors. Please leave Liu Silan. Our school doesn’t welcome gangsters or punks.” Mu Rulan was very serious about this.
He was surprised and had never been so surprised in his life, except that one time he had coincidentally seen his grandfather having… with a foreign girl and he hadn’t been able to recover his senses.
All he could think back then was oh my god, I can’t believe my grandfather could still do this kind of thing at his age? That old man was really worthy to be his grandfather, still imposing!
Who knew, maybe his grandfather could make his father an older brother, or make himself an uncle? Of course, when he brought this up with his grandfather, he’d been given a beating with his walking stick.
Mu Rulan wouldn’t whip him, but Lan Yiyang couldn’t understand why he was so surprised. He only felt that… After Mu Rulan had said so much, he might be a little bit at fault… but only a little.
She saw him deep in thought once she was done speaking. Since she had said her piece, she bent down and removed the porridge and other dishes from the bag.
He blinked his eyes roundly as he stared at the woman before him. Her somber hair was long, reaching her waist, obviously well-taken care of and shiny. When she bent, the silky hair fell from her shoulder and flowed down like a waterfall, astonishingly beautiful. Then she reached out and tucked her hair behind her ears. How could even her ears be so attractive?
He couldn’t control his gaze as it wandered further down. It was autumn, so the air was cooler than usual. The school uniform she wore was neatly buttoned up to the top, and below her collar was a silver-blue bowtie. The blazer was also buttoned right at her developing chest, and below that was her slim waist in the close-fitting white skirt.
She didn’t follow the common trend of modifying her skirt to be shorter, and below that skirt was a pair of long legs in black stockings, and feet in black leather shoes…
Those were the only words in Lan Yiyang’s mind. His eyes retraced the path back up and a dirty thought popped into his mind. His pale face began to turn red…
Obviously she was smartly dressed, but why was he tempted by her?!
