Note: The novel is getting lengthy so I decided to cut some unnecessary parts. Apologies if it is disturbing to you.
It was student rush hour so there were several cars parked outside of Liu Silan High.
Guards stood at the entrance to check each and every person to prevent any suspicious people from entering. This new rule had been set by Mu Rulan ever since Zhou Yaya’s incident.
All of Bai Suqing’s things were at the Mu Family residence so she naturally did not have a school uniform to wear, so she was stopped.
A few of the students at the entrance recognized Bai Suqing, but they did not walk up to speak with her. They stood there to watch the drama. Translated by The Novelst
“Uncle, I’m truly a student here. My name is Bai Suqing, I’m president Mu Rulan’s younger sister. Please let me in. I have to see my sister!” Bai Suqing begged the guard. She didn’t even have her phone since it had been left at the house.
“Yo! Isn’t this innocent little Miss Bai?” The girl who had bullied Bai Suqing at Ou Kaicheng’s birthday party spoke out.
“How pitiful. You don’t have your school uniform? What an embarrassing look. Don’t tell me you did something bad and were kicked out of the house?” The girl said disdainfully, arms crossed.
Bai Suqing’s eyes were red and teary as she looked at her, “P-Please don’t say that so carelessly. I came to look for my sister…”
Liu Feili came out of nowhere to defend Bai Suqing. “Oi! You guys are bullying Bai Tongxue again! Why can’t you just leave her alone? Be a little more kind, why are you looking like that at her!”
Bai Suqing sent a grateful glance to Liu Feili. Charmed by that gaze, she continued, “I can prove she’s truly the president’s little sister.”
“What sister? Does she have the qualifications?” was the disdainful response.
“She’s a nobody that’s simply lodging at the president’s home, but she shamelessly claims to be her little sister. People who don’t know the details might really believe the president had such an embarrassing little sister! She’s obviously misleading us to gain benefits in the name of our president!”
Scornful gazes were like lasers as they shot at Bai Suqing. She couldn’t escape from them – and she refused to admit defeat now, or everything would be finished!
The guard looked from Liu Feili to this strange girl, not knowing how to handle this.
Just then, Li Yang who had been observing the scene said, “Call the student council to confirm this.”
The guard, enlightened, immediately made the call. The vice president, Shu Min, answered.
“Hello, vice president? This is the guard at the entrance. There seems to be a misunderstanding here: a lady called Bai Suqing is claiming to be the president’s little sister and is looking for her. She’s not in a school uniform so I wanted to confirm with you, how should I handle this?”
Bai Suqing heard the guard addressing the vice president and happiness flooded her heart. If it was Shu Min, there should be no problem since they had united!
But things went awry once more for Bai Suqing. Shu Min’s displeased voice came from the receiver. “Really, do such things even need to be asked? Didn’t the discipline department send the message out? Bai Suqing was dropped from Liu Silan due to bad behavior and misconduct. You’re asking me if you should let her enter the school ground?!”
Just a few seconds ago, Bai Suqing had been glad. But now she was in hell.
After the guard received this scolding, he apologized immediately. “Sorry vice president! I am only the messenger. I will see this through, please give me another chance.”
“Since it’s your first time, I’ll let it slide. Hand in a self-examination report before noon!”
Shu Min hung up once she was done speaking.
Bai Suqing only then recovered her senses, saying urgently, “Call her again or call the president, and let me speak on the phone! There must be some mistake here. Why would I drop out? I didn’t do anything, truly!”
“Let’s go,” said Li Yang. The others followed and entered the school, leaving Bai Suqing behind.
Bai Suqing was at a complete loss. The continual blows had caught her unawares. “No, it’s not like that, I was wronged! Please believe me, I’m innocent…”
Bai Suqing sat on the ground and spaced out, her eyes dulled.
She felt her dignity had been trampled into the mud, all her prior efforts suddenly in vain. Not only had she wasted her time, she had been painted into a hypocritical person in Liu Silan and her name would never be washed clean…
And who was at fault behind it all?
Once again she remembered the girl who was so deeply cherished by all. Bai Suqing felt so jealous she nearly drove herself insane!
The Mu Family.
Ke Wanqing had a nightmare and dreamed once again about the corpse falling from the sky and the head rolling to her legs. It was just that the person in her dream was not Wang Qiang but Mu Zhenyang.
Mu Zhenyang’s head fell right by her leg and looked bloodily at her, “It’ll be your turn soon!”
“Ahhhh!” Ke Wanqing screamed as she woke up, quickly bouncing up from her bed, forehead full of cold sweat.
“Mother, what’s wrong?” Translated by The Novelst
Ke Wanqing let out a sigh of relief, one hand on her chest. Weakly, she said, “Phew, it’s Lan Lan…”
“I heard you screaming from outside. You must have had a bad dream,” Mu Rulan bent down to peer worriedly at her. “What did you dream of?”
Remembering the scene in her dream, Ke Wanqing’s face turned ugly.
Mu Rulan smiled gently at her and comforted her mother. “Don’t worry, mother. It’s just a dream, probably because your heart is not feeling comfortable because of yesterday’s events…”
Thinking of the incident, Ke Wanqing remembered Mu Zhenyang’s damn face, her heart firing up.
Mu Rulan didn’t continue to speak. After she comforted Ke Wanqing, she prepared to go to school. Ke Wanqing thought of something and said, “Lan Lan, let’s not go to Hong Kong to celebrate Chinese New Year this time.”
