Even though Bai Suqing was so dizzy, she didn’t dare forget that someone had told her not to speak carelessly in front of Mo Qianren. And furthermore, his relationship with Mo Qianren didn’t seem normal.
“Maybe I had a nightmare… I’m fine now…” She shook her head. So she had fainted last night.
“I’ll send her to the hospital, Mr. Mo.” Translated by The Novelst
Mo Qianren watched the police car round the corner before turning back to the villa area.
Uncle Bao was sitting inside the security kiosk. When he saw Mo Qianren draw nearer, he squinted his eyes.
This person… he remembered last time Mo Qianren had come to register, he gave the reason as going to visit his relatives. But after Uncle Bao became familiar with the house owners, he realized that they didn’t even know that someone had come to visit. They didn’t have such a special relative after all.
Uncle Bao wasn’t stupid, either. He quickly recalled that the very same day, a thief had gone into Mu Rulan’s house. Now this person was back.
It was true you couldn’t judge a book by its cover. He had worried about being unable to catch the thief, but who knew the thief would willingly hurl himself into the net!
Uncle Bao walked out, asking strictly, “Who are you looking for?”
Mo Qianren answered lightly, “Mu Rulan.”
Uncle Bao was surprised at the unexpected response. He glanced with furrowed brows at Mo Qianren. “Miss Mu has to study today, she’s not in. Who are you to her?”
Who was he to her? Mn, that was a serious question. Just some time ago he was a criminal psychologist who had been able to smell the crime coming off of her, but now he was just an ordinary man who knew that smell could have even him committing crimes.
Before Mo Qianren could answer, a black car drove slowly out to stop in front of the security kiosk. The car window rolled down, a man stretching out his hand with an entry card, saying, “Uncle Bao.”
“Yes, yes!” Uncle Bao hurried over.
The windows in the back rolled down then, two little heads in bunny ears squeezing out, calling, “Grandpa Bao!”
Uncle Bao smiled widely, swiping the card as he answered them, “Going to the playground in this cold weather again?”
“We’re going to watch a movie!” The gray bunny spoke energetically.
“Ultraman!” The white bunny said, striking the classic ultraman pose.
Uncle Bao liked these cute bunnies a lot. After he returned the card to their father, he gave them each a sweet. They thanked him sweetly, saying, “Thank you, Uncle Bao!”
As the iron gate opened slowly, one of the bunnies noticed Mo Qianren and pointed at him with surprise: “Sister Lan’s boyfwend!”
“My rival!” The gray bunny was quick to shout, calling to their mother in the passenger seat, “Mommy, mommy, look! He’s my rival!”
The two adults in the front were amused by their children, thinking: So that’s how Mu Rulan’s partner looks, huh. They’re really well-matched.
“Sister Lan’s boyfwend! Hello!” The white bunny waved at him despite not knowing Mo Qianren’s name.
“Hello,” Mo Qianren responded normally, like it wasn’t a problem being called Mu Rulan’s boyfriend. Mn, this feeling of being attached to someone’s name was a first for him. He didn’t find it annoying.
Uncle Bao stared at Mo Qianren, even forgetting to close the gate.
What had he just heard? Mu Rulan’s boyfriend? This guy?! He had to be kidding. He was a thief, there was no saying what other bad things he had done. It was over! Mu Rulan must have been deceived. She was so innocent that it was possible this man was getting close to her just to trick her!
“Don’t you even think of coming in. I dare you to try and take another step!” Uncle Bao glared at Mo QIanren’s cold visage, pressing the switch to close the gate. He hurriedly called Chen Hai, shouting exaggeratedly, “Help!”
“…” Mo Qianren looked apathetically at Uncle Bao who was speaking into his phone, badmouthing Mo Qianren, complaining that Mu Rulan had been deceived by a jerk, that he’d snuck into her house and that he didn’t know if this jerk was trying to steal something or launch a sneak attack on her, blah blah blah…
Mo Qianren turned away and left silently as though he didn’t hear the words mocking him. The jerk that Uncle Bao had mentioned was definitely not him, so he wouldn’t try and change his mind. Only idiots would do that kind of thing.
But judging by the looks of things, it seemed impossible for him to go inside and look at Mu Rulan’s house. Maybe he should purchase a house here? Mn, he should go check if there were any available for purchase.
There were quite a few students gathered around the notice board. The student council had just pinned a notice about the trips planned for this semester.
The time and venue for each grade was different. Sophomores usually finished the semester first, so they would be the first to go on the trip. Then the juniors would follow and then the seniors.
The student council had chosen a few locations for the students to vote on. Each location had a distinct cultural heritage to ensure that the students could experience different cultural lifestyles and learn something.
The class monitor would report the votes from each class to the student council before the semester ended. The student council would then total the votes and announce the results. Translated by The Novelst
The twelfth grade didn’t even need to vote. No one knew who had leaked the information, but it was said that Mu Rulan wanted to go to the Alps. It caused most of the votes to skew heavily to the Alps. The result came out in just a few hours and no one was surprised.
“Great, the Alps! We can all learn to squeeze some milk, herd sheep, feed some cows, enjoy the rustic romance… Mn, we can even go skiing…” Mu Rulan looked at the results happily while talking to the student council members Chen Qing and Shu Min.
