Chen Qing pushed his glasses up, “Then since the decision has been finalized, I’ll handle the follow-up.”
Once the school trip location had been decided, the student council still needed to arrange tickets for flights, book hotels, and plan out a schedule.
“Mn, then I’ll leave it to you.”
Chen Qing nodded, “I’ll inform everyone else.”
“Great… Let’s head out for lunch, then.” Decisions made, Mu Rulan and the rest stood up to leave.
She had all the documents across the table and saw Shu Min was still standing in her place like she had something to say. Mu Rulan blinked at her, “What’s wrong?”
“I…” Translated by The Novelst
“Sister!” Shu Min was interrupted by Mu Rusen who had been waiting outside the door the entire meeting. Mu Rusen walked in, pouting, “Sis, what are you going? Let’s go eat, I’m starving.”
Mu Rulan glanced at Shu Min and didn’t say anything.
Shu Min looked at the two brothers, becoming a little annoyed watching Mu Rusen acting like a spoiled kid. She said sarcastically, “Haven’t been weaned off the milk yet, huh?”
“What does that have to do with you?!” Mu Rusen glared defiantly at Shu Min.
“Hmmph,” she grunted, taking the documents and walking away.
“Alright, alright, weren’t you starving? Let’s go,” Mu Rulan said, helplessly patting Mu Rusen’s head. The cold expression on his face vanished, replaced by his canine teeth peeping out happily.
Mu Rulin furrowed his brows, his eyes behind the lens staring at Mu Rusen. A hint of doubt surfaced in his mind: something seemed wrong, like something had gone outside of his control…
But before he could think further on it, Mu Rulan had pulled them both out of the room.
“…The Alps, huh. Well, I don’t know. I just suddenly felt like going. And we can ski there…” His sister was facing the other side and talking with Mu Rusen.
Mu Rulin looked at Mu Rulan’s hand that held Mu Rusen’s. It was different from his careful actions when allowing Mu Rulan to hold his own hand. Mu Rusen was obviously clutching her hand tightly, so much so that their fingers were intertwined…
Mu Rulin furrowed his brows, gaze turning sharp.
No, that couldn’t happen. Even if Mu Rusen was his own twin brother he would absolutely not allow it. They couldn’t monopolize her.
Mu Rulin returned to his senses, noticing he had subconsciously gripped Mu Rulan’s hand. He relaxed his grip and let out a sigh of relief. He really couldn’t let down his guard, huh, especially when it came to suppressing the impure desires in his mind.
“Can’t we go too?” Mu Rusen stubbornly asked again.
“No can do,” Mu Rulan said, serious enough to prevent further questions.
The school trip was usually divided by grade. The aim was to allow students to leave their homes and become independent and also develop deep friendships with their classmates. If Mu Rusen and Mu Rulin stuck with Mu Rulan, there would be no meaning to the school trip.
“Ah…” Mu Rusen said, weakly lying on the cafeteria table.
Who would want to become friends with those idiots in his class? As long as sister was there it was enough…
The timing of their school trip seemed to be staggered with his sister’s. Mu Rulin pushed up his glasses, thinking. If that was the case, once his trip ended, he could fly over to her. The trip was only ten days, and when he arrived they would have only been there for one day. So if he went to her at that time he could play with sister for a few days.
But he wouldn’t tell this to Mu Rusen. That bootlicker, if he heard about this plan, would definitely want to tag along.
After school, Mu Rulan planned to make a visit to the black house.
She was handling the documents and saw Zhou Yaya’s application to transfer schools. When studying at a prestigious school like Liu Silan, students couldn’t transfer carelessly in and out as they wished. It pertained to the pride and dignity of the school, as well as their reputation as a top-tier international school. If a student handled herself poorly at school, it was likely to leave a stain on your record that could never be erased.
But the board of directors obviously wanted to let Zhou Yaya go, but knew there was a conflict between her and Mu Rulan. They were afraid that their star Mu Rulan would be angry, so instead of approving her transfer immediately, they passed the decision to her.
But wasn’t this also a form of pressuring her? If they were really on her side, they would have just rejected the application straightforwardly, without pushing it to her.
If Mu Rulan didn’t agree, that would cast her as a stingy person who used her position to take revenge on a junior. But for Mu Rulan to let Zhou Yaya leave just like that, she wouldn’t be very happy with it.
She picked up the pen and wrote down her decision: carrying the responsibility to the very end was the only way.
Just one sentence solved all her problems. Zhou Yaya wanted to leave? She definitely could, but she would have to finish the semester first. But… Mu Rulan couldn’t guarantee whether or not she could leave at the end of it, ya.
Mu Rulan put away the documents and looked at the time, grabbing her jacket to walk out of the school building.
Chen Hai had been waiting in the parking lot. Seeing Mu Rulan come out, he drove out to the road and opened the door for her.
“Miss, will you be going to the black house again?” Mu Rusen and Mu Rulin had mentioned it.
Mu Rulan nodded, smiling. “Mn.” Translated by The Novelst
“T-Then…” Chen Hai couldn’t find a way around it, so he bit the bullet and said, “Are you… currently dating Mr. Mo Qianren?”
