“No.” Mo Qianren’s reaction was unexpectedly fast. Looking at her surprised expression, he expressed calmly, “Your long hair at least makes up for your shortage in intelligence.”
Looking at his glowing ears, Mu Rulan smiled, a hint of helplessness in her gaze. “Geez, can’t you just say that my hair looks pretty and to cut it short would be a waste?”
Mo Qianren stepped forward a little, pretending not to hear.
“You’re not being very honest, huh. Mr. Mo Qianren,” Mu Rulan teased, walking after him.
“…” He really didn’t feel like talking to someone so shameless.
“Is it really okay for your ears to be glowing so red?” Mu Rulan was tempted to touch his ears, but resisted the urge to do something so impolite.
“So, did talking nonsense make you any smarter?” He couldn’t hold back and mocked her.
He knew her type well: a psycho who knew no shame. There were several female perverts in his prison as well, and they were even shameless enough to undress themselves to make all sorts of gestures and poses.
“Oh no, I’m already way past the age of brain development. What do I do?” Mu Rulan was worried about her own intelligence, especially when compared to Mo Qianren. Translated by The Novelst
“A pig can help you with that. After all, they’re smarter than you.”
The two of them strolled slowly to a popular street. They matched their paces, like they had a tacit understanding between them. It all seemed so natural, whether it was the conversation or the way they got along.
They walked into a boutique store with all sorts of beautiful accessories. It was a girl’s heaven.
The shop itself wasn’t very small. There were pink couches available for customers to take a rest on, and a few girls were spread out, looking around.
The moment they stepped into the shop, they immediately attracted a lot of attention. The two were already used to it, and acted like nothing had happened.
Mu Rulan began to look for a hair tie that would suit her taste, while Mo Qianren followed her around, hands in his pockets. His expression was indifferent, looking completely uninterested in this kind of thing.
Of course, he wouldn’t be interested in this kind of stuff. He was only interested in psychos.
Her snowy white fingers stopped on a simple black band, before fluttering to another black band with a few twists. Interested, Mu Rulan untwisted the band to take it down, and it was large enough to fit her whole head.
Her eyes sparkled brightly and she stretched her hand out to Mo Qianren like she had discovered a treasure and couldn’t wait to share it with him. “Look, this one has great elasticity and it has some weight to it. It could be used as a hidden weapon, ya.”
If she kept it in her hair, she could take advantage of a dangerous opponent or unwitting victim not realizing she had a weapon and simply pull out the band to strangle their neck to finish them off ya!
Mo Qianren looked at the string and then looked at Mu Rulan’s eyes sparkling at him. He took the band silently away from her and put it back where it came from.
She looked at him askance and stretched her hand out to take it back down.
He looked at her silently.
She stared silently back.
“Um… Do you… need any assistance?” One of the shopkeepers came to help. She tried her best to keep from smiling at the cute scene.
Mu Rulan asked her, “Can you help me tie my hair?”
The shopkeeper gave a friendly smile. “Yes, of course. Please follow me.”
Mu Rulan followed her further into the shop, Mo Qianren trailing behind her.
“You can sit here,” she said, pointing at the tall chair before a dressing table attached to a mirror. Several different cosmetics were arranged nicely on the tabletop. It seemed like the shop also provided services to assist customers with hair or makeup.
“What kind of hairstyle do you want?” The shopkeeper asked, touching Mu Rulan’s hair.
“Mn, just a simple ponytail will do. Use this,” she said, passing the band to the shopkeeper.
Mo Qianren stood behind Mu Rulan, staring at the shopkeeper’s hand touching Mu Rulan’s hair. After that, he saw her grab a comb on the table, but noticed that someone’s hair was stuck to it. She pulled it out and was preparing to comb Mu Rulan’s hair. Mo Qianren frowned and stepped in. “Stop.”
She looked at Mo Qianren in confusion, while Mu Rulan listed a brow.
“Change to a new one,” he said, looking down at the comb. His tone was light, but still gave her a feeling of not being able to refuse.
So many people had used this before. How could they know how many germs were on there?
After being taken aback due to surprise, she nodded and went to get a new comb.
By the time Mo Qianren realized what he was doing, he had already taken the comb from the shopkeeper and pushed her to the side, standing behind Mu Rulan.
She looked at him through the mirror.
“Qianren?” she called out, curious. Translated by The Novelst
Mo Qianren lowered his head, expression indifferent and face pale, but his ears blazed with the truth: “Too slow.”
The shopkeeper felt wronged. Just now she had nearly finished typing a ponytail for the customer. It was that man who had pushed her to the side, making her lose her grip on the hair! How could he then call her slow? A man in love was truly too unreasonable!
A pair of hands combed through the hair slowly, the cold sensation of her hair, like silk ribbon, falling through his fingertips. He was completely focused on her hair.
Though the man showed little to no emotion on his face, his movements were so gentle.
This pair looked perfect together, like they were meant to be.
